Vila e Enver Hoxhës (Vila 31)
Historical Landmark
The former home of communist dictator Enver Hoxha, built in the 1970s in Blloku, the guarded quarter where the regime's elite lived and which ordinary Albanians could not enter until 1991. Hoxha lived here until his death in 1985. Since 2025 the villa has been Vila 31, an artists' residency run with the French foundation Art Explora, and it opens to the public for exhibitions, open-studio days and events. At other times it can be seen from the street, at the corner of Rruga Ismail Qemali and Rruga Dëshmorët e 4 Shkurtit.
