Memorial
The German Military Cemetery was inaugurated on November 19, 2006, in the Grand Park of Tirana's Artificial Lake, within a section of the Memorial Complex. It is the final resting place of 56 German soldiers who died during the Second World War.
Of the approximately 2,400 German soldiers who were killed or went missing in Albania during the war, around 1,800 have been identified by name. Their names are inscribed on eight granite pillars at the cemetery.
