Varrezat e Ushtarëve Anglezë
Memorial
During the Second World War, from April 1943 to October 31, 1944, 46 soldiers serving with British military missions were killed in Albania. For nearly fifty years, no memorial was dedicated to those who fell while serving with the Allied forces during the war. It was not until 1993, through a collaboration between the Municipality of Tirana and the British Embassy, that construction of a cemetery for the British servicemen began.
The memorial was officially inaugurated on May 8, 1994, marking the 50th anniversary of the end of the Second World War in Albania.
