Flag Square (Sheshi i Flamurit) is one of the most important historic squares in Vlorë. It is closely associated with the raising of the Albanian flag on 28 November 1912, when Ismail Qemali proclaimed Albania’s Independence. The square is a major symbol of Albanian national identity and an important landmark for visitors.
