Student City (or The Student City) is the largest residential university campus in Albania, located in the southeastern part of Tirana. Originally established during the communist era to house students from the University of Tirana, it operates as a "city within a city" featuring dormitories, cafeterias, libraries, and recreational areas. Beyond its daily function, the Student City holds immense historical significance, as it was the birthplace of the December 1990 student movement that led to the fall of the communist regime in Albania. Today, the area is undergoing modernization and energy-efficiency projects to upgrade its infrastructure and dorms.
