Shkodra’s great beach, at the northernmost end of the Albanian coast near the Buna river mouth: kilometres of fine dark sand, known for an iodine content locals credit with healing properties. Shallow sea that warms quickly, dunes and pines behind the shore, and the delta nature reserve right next door.
