Apollonia Archaeological Park preserves the ruins of one of the most important ancient cities of Illyria, founded by Greek colonists in the early 7th century BC. Located about 12 km from Fier, the park includes the ancient city’s agora, theatre, Odeon, Nymphaeum, library, temples, villas, defensive walls, and the medieval Monastery of Saint Mary with its archaeological museum.
