The Church of Saint Anthony is located on the mountain above the town of Laç and is one of Albania’s most important pilgrimage centers. The site has a long history, with the church dating to 1557; after being destroyed during Albania’s atheist campaign in 1967, it was rebuilt in 1991. The main pilgrimage takes place around June 13, attracting thousands of people from different religious backgrounds.
