Kruja Castle is one of Albania’s most important historical monuments and a symbol of national resistance, closely associated with the national hero Gjergj Kastrioti Skanderbeg. Inside its walls are the National Museum “Gjergj Kastrioti Skanderbeg”, the Ethnographic Museum, and other historical sites that showcase the medieval heritage of the city.
