Berat Castle is one of Albania’s most important historic landmarks and one of the country’s best-preserved fortified settlements. Perched on a hill above the city, the castle contains historic churches, museums, traditional houses and ancient fortifications, while offering spectacular views over Berat and the Osum River valley.
