Grama Bay

Gjiri i Gramës

Beach

A hidden bay on the western side of the Karaburun peninsula, reachable only by sea — about 30 km by boat from Vlora. Known as the “port of inscriptions”: its cliffs carry some 1,500 carvings left by sailors sheltering here from the 3rd century BC to Ottoman times, Pompey’s among them (48 BC). Deep emerald water beneath sheer limestone walls.
