Durrës Amphitheatre is one of the most important ancient monuments in Albania and one of the largest Roman amphitheatres in the Balkans. Built during the reign of Emperor Hadrian in the 2nd century AD, it could once accommodate thousands of spectators who gathered to watch gladiator battles and public performances. Today, the amphitheatre stands as a remarkable symbol of the ancient city of Dyrrachium, offering visitors a unique journey through Roman history, architecture, and archaeology.
