Festival “Albanian Music Nights”

Saturday, 31 October 2026 · time to be confirmed

TKOBAP, Tirana · Free entry

The symphonic concert on October 31 will bring to the stage of the National Theatre of Opera and Ballet a special artistic program that combines new Albanian compositions with some of the best-known works of the world symphonic repertoire. At the center of this event will be the premiere of the piano concerto by Albanian composer Vaso Tole, a new work that will be presented to the public for the first time, representing an important moment for Albanian musical creativity and for the enrichment of the piano-orchestral repertoire.

The performance of this work by the TKOBAP Orchestra will create an important space for promoting new national creativity, bringing contemporary Albanian composition into dialogue with the tradition of the great symphonic repertoire. The premiere of the piano concerto will be one of the evening’s key moments. The program will continue with two well-known overtures from the classical and Romantic repertoires: the Overture from Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s opera The Marriage of Figaro and the overture from Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet. These works represent two important approaches in the history of music: the elegance, rhythmic vitality, and orchestral craftsmanship of the Classical period, as well as the dramatic, emotional, and symphonic dimension of Romanticism—a new work and to follow the collaboration between the piano soloist, the composer, and the orchestral ensemble.
