From Shkodër the road climbs through Bogë and the Thore Pass, then winds down into the Theth valley. The village has stone houses, a small church you can see from far off and a lock-in tower, where men caught in a blood feud shut themselves away for safety. From the village you can walk to Grunas Waterfall and, further on, the Blue Eye of Theth. It works as a day trip, but a night in the village makes it calmer. From November the Thore Pass can get snow: check the weather before you set off.
